Brittany M. Young, Esq. is a millennial attorney and proud native of Shreveport, Louisiana. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. In 2015, she received her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center. While in law school, Brittany was awarded the Louisiana State Bar Association Pro Bono Award in 2014, an honor presented to one law student at each of the four law schools in the state in recognition of exceptional commitment to public service.

Brittany has been named one of Shreveport-Bossier Magazine’s Top Attorneys, selected as a National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 honoree, recognized as a YPI Top 40 Under 40 professional, and awarded Top 40 Under 40 Attorney by the Young Lawyers Division of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
Outside of the courtroom, Brittany enjoys traveling and believes strongly in living a life rooted in faith and purpose. Her favorite scripture, Ephesians 3:20, reflects both her personal philosophy and professional drive, to believe boldly and exceed expectations.
Above all, Brittany considers her most important roles to be that of a devoted wife to Pastor Kermit Young, Jr., and a proud mother to Emery and Nova.
